Rome - Aamod/Asinitas
From March to July 2007, ZaLab led a participatory video workshop at Asinitas school in Rome (www.asinitas.org). Asinitas is an open school where inmigrants and asylum seekers learn italian. With the collaboration of AAMOD (Workers’ and Democratic Movements’ Audiovisual Archive, a Foundation wanted by Cesare Zavattini at the end of the 70s, www.aamod.it) ZaLab proposed participatory video as a tool for improving the inmigrants’ language skills and for collecting fresh and personal looks on the condition of the asylum seekers in southern Europe.
