The documentary “THE DESERT AND THE SEA” has been realised during a partecipatory video workshop by Ethiopian and Sudanese asylum seekers and refugees in Rome. In the documentary, the authors show several fragmets of their present and past experience as asylum seekers and refugees in Italy.The workshop was coordintated by ZaLab in collaboration with Asinitas and AAMOD – Audiovisual Archive of the Workers’ and Democratics’ movements”, founded by Cesare Zavattini in the 70s.

The documentary “THE DESERT AND THE SEA” will be presented at AAMOD in Rome on the 16th of November 2007.
